or, as I like to think of it, “Yet Another Reason Why the Blueberry Kicks Ass.”

I went to Boston over the weekend (that recap will be up later), and on the drive back, I finally remembered to pay attention to my gas-to-miles ratio. As my friend Schuyler explained to me, all I needed to do was start with a full tank, drive for however long (keeping track of the miles), and then stop to refuel. However much gas I needed to replenish the tank with is how much I used, and my trusty odometer told me the other piece of the equation.

Old Blue went a glorious 313.0 miles (the approximate distance from Lincoln, MA to Emmaus, PA) on only 10.88 gallons. For you fellow journalism and  English majors out there, that’s about 28.8 mpg highway. This is actually slightly better than what the current model of CRV advertises, so I’m most pleased.

Until someone wants to go ahead  and give me a free hybrid, I think I’ll stick with what I’ve got.
